The Local Area Commander for Stirling, Chief Inspector Gillian Marshall, says that Detective Inspector Grant Sangster possibly ‘exceeds authority’ while investigating “Stirling case”. As a proof, Gillian Marshall showed the example of yesterday’s order by Grant Sangster for police officers to step up patrols in Falkirk area. However, Gillian Marshall does not understand how DI Grant Sangster was able to command officers in Bonnybridge community if currently area of Operation Nippet is limited to Stirling city whereabouts.

“Actually, DI Grant Sangster currently does not have right to command patrols or police officers outside the city of Stirling. If he does, he should release confirmed statement and order to expand the area for Operation Nippet to Falkirk area with the permission of NCA (National Crime Agency). However, his present actions may be classified as abuse of office. This is only my opinion, but I think so.” — told Gillian Marshall.
