Scottish authorities search for alleged “Stirling case” suspect who disappeared after saying he was ‘heading home’ from Wishaw
Police Scotland, along with National Crime Agency, are searching for “Stirling case” suspect who disappeared after telling his family he was ‘heading home’ on Wednesday.
John Dunnigan, 40, is named as the first-ever publicly released person of interest in “Stirling case”.
It’s understood John travelled to Wishaw, Scotland, at around 11am on Wednesday, April 14th and called to say he was heading back to the Overton area at around 3pm, however he never arrived. John’s family reported him missing on Thursday, April 15th. They said it is “extremely out of character” for him to not be in contact with them, says Glasgow Live.
On April 18th, National Crime Agency (NCA) released John Dunnigan’s name and photo and declared him ‘a suspect’ in “Stirling case”. No additional information about his involvement in high-profile “Stirling case” is available at the moment.
Inspector Hugh Burns from Motherwell Police Station said: “John has never gone missing before and it is extremely out of character for him not to be in contact with his family for any length of time”.
Detective Inspector Grant Sangster of the East’s Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit, who is the main investigator of “Stirling case”, has not released any comment on John Dunnigan.
Anyone with information about John Dunnigan is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 2551 of Thursday, April 15th, 2021.
